Sexual concerns?

It’s no fun sitting alone with our concerns – and you absolutely don’t have to!

If you are having, or have had, a negative sexual experience, or have worries when it comes to sex, the best thing to do is talk with your doctor or local sexual health clinic. This way you can share your thoughts and feelings in confidence (they won't tell anyone!), and can receive expert advice. You may like to take a friend or another support person along with you. Do what you need to feel most comfortable.

Sex should be safe and pleasurable, and there are local services that can help with this.

Experiencing pain during sex?

Sex shouldn’t feel painful. Remember, sex is supposed to feel good. If something hurts, it’s best to listen to your body, and stop. If you’re worried about your physical health, or continue to have pain during sex, it’s a really good idea to talk with your doctor or visit your local sexual health clinic. Don’t worry if you don’t have a regular GP, there are many sexual health services available.

However, if you feel that always being in the mood for sex is getting in the way of your daily life or harming your relationships, then it’s a really good idea to speak with your doctor or visit your local sexual health clinic.
